Lighthouse Academy (LHA)
Lighthouse Academy (LHA) is an alternative education school designed for students who have been long-term suspended or require a more restrictive educational setting. The program also accommodates students placed in a 45-day interim educational setting through our ESS department. It is designed to support students who face challenges in a traditional school setting and require a more structured approach to their education.
Our Focus
- Address School Environment Issues: Support students who struggle in a traditional school setting due to the amount of transition throughout a traditional campus.
- Address Behavioral Issues: Implement strategies to manage and improve student behavior.
- Enhance Academic Performance: Offer multiple instructional delivery models to help students catch up or stay on track academically.
- Develop Social Skills: Teach students how to interact positively with peers and adults.
- Provide Emotional and Behavioral Support: Offer services to address underlying emotional issues and foster a conducive learning environment for students.
The program aims to provide a supportive and adaptive learning environment that meets students where they are and helps them achieve their educational goals.
An administrative referral is needed for admission consideration; visit your high school’s counseling office for more details. The overall goal of the program is to develop students’ skills so they can be prepared to return to their home school.
