James A. Green Continuing Education Academy (CEA)

CEA James A Green continuing Education Academy LogoThe James A. Green Continuing Education Academy (CEA) is an alternative education school within the District that serves students in grades nine through twelve, including both general education and special education students. The program is designed to support students who face challenges in a traditional school setting and require a more tailored approach to their education.

CEA is specifically geared towards students who:

  • struggle in a traditional school setting due to social and emotional factors;
  • need modifications to their daily academic schedule because they are not meeting the success criteria on a large school campus; and
  • would benefit from a smaller, flexible, and shortened day schedule to accommodate their specialized needs.

The program aims to provide a supportive and adaptive learning environment that meets students where they are and helps them achieve their educational goals.

An administrative referral is needed for admission consideration; visit your high school’s counseling office for more details. The overall goal of the program is to develop students’ skills so they can be prepared to return to their home school.
